Crane Electrician
Job Summary
The Crane Electrician inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems on cranes, heavy vehicles, and other fleet equipment. This role ensures all electrical systems and components operate safely and reliably, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company SHEQ standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintenance of electrical works of Cranes, Heavy Vehicles, and other equipment
- Completion of relevant documentation in accordance with procedures.
- Advising the Fleet Supervisor of any requirement for spare parts/consumables etc.
- Wearing the PPE provided and promoting a culture of safety.
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
- Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of electrical systems on cranes, heavy vehicles, and other equipment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Technical certificate, diploma, or vocational qualification in Electrical, Automotive Electrical, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Crane Electrician, Heavy Equipment Electrician, Automotive Electrician, or Electrical Technician.
- Hands-on experience with cranes, heavy vehicles, or heavy equipment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and use diagnostic/testing equipment.
- Experience with LMI systems, GPS, black box, or telematics is an advantage.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, electrical safety, and SHEQ standards.
- Ability to respond to emergency breakdowns and work effectively under pressure.
