Heavy Equipment Mechanic
We are looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join Hong Ye Rental & Construction Ltd. in Saipan. The successful candidates will be responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of heavy construction equipment and related machinery.
- Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment, trucks, and related machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and servicing.
- Repair, replace, or overhaul damaged or worn mechanical parts and components.
- Use hand tools, jacks, cranes, and other equipment necessary for repairs and maintenance.
- Read and understand equipment operating and service manuals.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and determine appropriate repair procedures.
- Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies needed for equipment repair and servicing.
- Schedule and perform regular equipment maintenance.
- Maintain accurate equipment service and repair records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or related position.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Ability to read and understand equipment/service manuals.
- Experience repairing and maintaining construction or heavy equipment.
- Valid driver's license is an advantage/required if confirmed by the employer.
- Physically fit and willing to work in a construction/heavy-equipment environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CAT, John Deere, Link-Belt, Liebherr, or similar equipment.
- Experience with hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
