JUNIOR MECHANIC
The Junior Mechanical Technician is responsible for supporting the Mechanical Supervisor / Manager in ensuring smooth operation and reliability of machinery in the PM1 tissue production line. The technician will assist in executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and contributing to the overall performance of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of mechanical equipment related to PM1 machinery.
• Follow established maintenance programs, procedures, and safety protocols as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor.
• Perform routine inspections, identify potential mechanical issues, and support preventive actions to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Support major overhauls and reconditioning of mechanical systems and components.
• Interpret and work with mechanical drawings and manuals to carry out repairs and installations accurately.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults using proper tools and techniques.
• Maintain proper records, logs, and documentation of all performed tasks.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments (production & electrical) to support operational efficiency.
• Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, packaging, or FMCG industries (some recruitment agencies may require at least 3 years of experience depending on the hiring campaign).

- Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions.
- Willingness to work shifts and in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic English communication skills are an advantage.
This role is suitable for mechanics with industrial maintenance experience who want to work in a tissue paper manufacturing plant in the UAE.
