Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant professional experience in fire vehicle maintenance, emergency vehicle engineering, fleet management, or heavy vehicle maintenance.
- Experience with municipal, industrial, military, or airport firefighting vehicles is preferred.
Job Description:
- Provide technical expertise on fire engines, rescue vehicles, airport rescue and firefighting (ARFF) vehicles, tankers, aerial platforms, and specialized firefighting vehicles.
- Review and evaluate technical specifications, drawings, datasheets, and manufacturer documentation.
- Support procurement activities by preparing technical specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, and participating in technical bid evaluations.
- Ensure fire vehicles comply with applicable safety regulations, operational requirements, and recognized industry standards.
- Recommend fleet upgrades, modifications, and equipment improvements to enhance operational capability.
- Support emergency response operations by providing technical assistance when required.
