NORMAL WORKER (CLEANER - NURSERY)
Job Summary
This role requires experience in child caring, especially with nursery kids.
You must know how to handle children gently, clean after them, help with basic hygiene (diapers, potty, meals), and keep them safe while you clean. This is not a regular cleaner position – it is a cleaner + childcare support role
Key Responsibilities
1. Cleaning & Sanitizing (Nursery Standard)
- Clean and disinfect all classrooms, play areas, nap rooms, and changing stations.
- Wash and sanitize toys, mats, cribs, high chairs, and feeding tables daily.
- Mop, sweep, and vacuum floors using child-safe disinfectants.
- Clean restrooms frequently and restock supplies.
- Empty trash bins, especially diaper disposal bins, following infection control rules.
2. Child Caring Support (Critical Requirement)
- Assist nursery staff in changing children’s clothes if soiled.
- Help during meal times – clean children’s hands, faces, and bibs.
- Comfort and supervise children briefly during cleaning routines (e.g., while wiping a table near them).
- Recognize when a child is unwell (e.g., fever, vomiting, rash) and immediately inform the teacher or nurse.
- Speak gently and kindly to children while cleaning around them.
- Support toilet training – clean potty chairs, help with handwashing, and change wet bedding.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory (Must Have):
- Proven experience in child caring – especially with nursery kids (ages 0–5 years).
- Previous work as a cleaner, nanny, childcare assistant, or nursery aide.
- Understanding of basic child hygiene (diaper changing, handwashing, feeding cleanup).
- Ability to clean while managing child-friendly behavior and noise.
- Physically fit – able to bend, lift, carry, and stand for long hours.
- Reliable, patient, gentle, and alert.
