Secondary Science / Values Education Teacher
A Secondary Science / Values Education Teacher is responsible for teaching Science and Values Education subjects to junior or senior high school students in accordance with the Philippine K–12 curriculum and the standards of Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The teacher develops students’ scientific understanding, critical thinking skills, ethical behavior, and personal values in a learner-centered and multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Science subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and General Science (depending on assignment)
- Teach Values Education subjects focusing on character formation, ethics, and personal development
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, activities, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards
- Conduct classroom instruction, laboratory activities, experiments, and values formation discussions
- Develop students’ scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Promote discipline, respect, responsibility, and positive behavior among students
- Assess and monitor student performance through quizzes, projects, laboratory work, and examinations
- Maintain a safe and well-managed classroom and laboratory environment
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into instruction
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field
- Additional background or training in Values Education, Character Education, or related field is an advantage
- Valid PRC Professional Teacher License
- Preferably with teaching experience in secondary education
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural educational environment
- Full-fledged Master’s Degree holder in Education
- At least two (2) years of experience as a classroom teacher
- 45 years old and below
- With less than 40 hours of absences
