ROUGH CARPENTER ( REPEAIR AND MAINTENANCE WORKER)
Job Summary:
Rough Carpenter with knowledge of Masonry to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be versatile, capable of reading blueprints, and experienced in both structural carpentry and basic concrete/masonry work.
Framing: Building the core structure, including foundations, floor beams, walls, and roof systems .
Concrete Formwork: A key crossover point with masonry. This involves building the wooden molds (forms) into which concrete is poured to create foundations, columns, and walls .
Temporary Structures: Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ladders, and hoists to create a safe and accessible work environment .
Layout and Measurement: Reading blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine dimensions, lay out the project, and measure/cut materials accurately.
Installation: Fitting structural elements like window frames, doors, and subflooring .
Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting heavy construction materials, and removing rubble and debris from the site
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in rough carpentry, with proven knowledge of masonry techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with both carpentry tools (saws, nail guns) and masonry tools (trowels, mixers, saws).
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs), stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reliable, a team player, and able to follow oral and written instructions.
