TRADES TECHNICIAN
The Trades Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of equipment and facilities across all company sites, including retail shops, offices, processing centre, and distribution centre. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of equipment and facilities across all company sites to ensure optimal performance.
2.Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with machinery and infrastructure and implement effective solutions.
3.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
4.Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
5.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections across all sites.
6.Collaborate with other technicians and departments to support overall operations.
7.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and provide timely solutions.
8.Assist in training and guiding junior staff on maintenance best practices and safety protocols.

Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Qualification/Experience):
1. Qualification: a minimum of Diploma or certifications in a relevant trade (e.g., electrical, mechanical).
2. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a retail or industrial environment.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
4. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in performing maintenance and maintaining records.
6. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with teams and reporting to management.
7. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintenance schedules efficiently.
