FINANCE MANAGER ( Vice Principal - Finance)
The Vice Principal – Finance will oversee the entire financial management of the school, ensuring
transparency, compliance, and fiscal efficiency. Reporting directly to the School Principal and
working collaboratively with other department leaders, the successful candidate will play a key role
in shaping the financial stability and strategic direction of PSD.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Compliance
- Oversee accounting systems, audit processes, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy,transparency, and compliance with school policies.
- Budgeting & Strategic Planning
- Develop and monitor annual budgets and 5-year financial development plans incoordination with department heads.
- Cash Flow & Asset Oversight
- Supervise cash flow, banking transactions, procurement, inventory, and maintenance ofschool and canteen assets.
- Interdepartmental Coordination
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments on enrollment tracking, bookprocurement, and budget implementation.
- Governance & Policy Recommendations
- Provide financial presentations to stakeholders, lead canvassing during BOT elections, andrecommend policy improvements for financial operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, major in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Full-fledged Master’s degree (MA/MBA)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in school finance or a related field
- Strong proficiency in e-accounting systems, spreadsheets, and financial analysis tools
- Must be 30 years old or older
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in international or private schools
- Familiarity with Qatar’s financial or educational regulations
- Background in strategic financial planning or policy development
- Leadership certification or training in educational administration
- Experience managing cross-departmental financial operations
