Salesman (Executive Sales – Foodservice)
About the Role:
Salesman with a strong background in the baking industry.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years in sales within the baking industry or FMCG sector, preferably with experience working with companies like QNIE, Adinsa, Valencia, or Al Maktab Al Hollandi.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of baking industry products, from flour to bakery and pastry premixes, and a strong understanding of what chefs and bakers need in professional kitchens.
- Sales Track Record: Proven sales success with a portfolio of past clients and documented sales achievements.
- Driving License: Valid Qatari light vehicle driving license with a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of clients within the baking industry, including hotels, bakeries, restaurants and cafes.
- Sell and promote a range of baking products, including flour, bakery and pastry premixes, and other specialty ingredients.
- Identify client needs and provide tailored product solutions to meet those requirements.
- Manage and grow relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets by following a strategic sales plan.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor offerings.
- Report regularly on sales performance, client feedback, and market insights to inform business strategy.
Skills and Competencies:
- Customer Focused: Excellent client relationship-building skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey product benefits and close sales.
- Goal-Oriented: Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage a busy client schedule, including planning daily routes and setting up client meetings.
- Industry Knowledge: Complete understanding of the top baking and pastry brands, as well as competing brands in Qatar, to effectively position products and address client needs.
- Technical Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP software, with the ability to efficiently use these tools on a mobile device.
- Baking Skills: Hands-on baking skills and the ability to conduct product demos are highly desirable. Qualified certifications in baking or culinary arts, as well as experience leading product demos or training sessions, would be a big plus.
- Team Player: Experience working independently and as part of a team to contribute to the company’s overall goals.
