Job Summary:
- The Senior HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. They need to Deliver the necessary service activities, from the commissioning to troubleshooting and repair of a single and / or multiple HVAC, refrigeration and other commercial or industrial A/C units, in order to complete the customer requirements in line with the Contract Agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, fan coil units (FCU), air handling units (AHU), and associated components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, identify the root cause, and implement corrective actions to restore proper operation.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning HVAC components, such as compressors, motors, fans, and control systems, using advanced tools and techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of all HVAC maintenance activities, including work orders, repair reports, and equipment history.
- Monitor HVAC system performance and energy usage, and recommend efficiency improvements to reduce energy consumption and operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards related to HVAC systems.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest HVAC technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or associate's degree in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician, with progressively increasing responsibilities. (+5 years in GCC countries)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system components, operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Ability to use a variety of HVAC tools and equipment, including multimeters, gauges, and diagnostic software.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
